Description

Elementary First Aid Course

This course provides essential, life-saving skills for all seafarers. Through a combination of hands-on practice and theoretical knowledge, you will learn to respond to common medical emergencies at sea.

What You'll Learn

This module covers the core principles of first aid as outlined in STCW 95 Table A-VI/1-3, ensuring you are prepared to act effectively in a crisis. Key topics include:

  • Emergency Response: Prioritizing treatment and safely transporting a casualty.

  • Basic Life Support (CPR): Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

  • Wound Management: Controlling bleeding and properly bandaging injuries.

  • Shock and Burns: Managing the symptoms of shock and treating burns and scalds.

None. Participants must be aged 16 or over.
