Description
This GWO Fire Awareness Refresher course is designed to keep your skills and knowledge current, ensuring you are prepared to prevent, assess, and combat fires effectively in a wind turbine environment.
The course covers the same essential content as the initial GWO Fire Awareness Module, with a focus on practical application. You will review how to:

Proactively prevent fires by identifying hazards and implementing safety measures specific to renewable energy environments.

Rapidly assess a fire and select the appropriate extinguishing media based on fire classifications.

Take charge of an evacuation, ensuring the safety and accountability of all personnel.

Safely and effectively extinguish initial fires using basic handheld equipment when it is safe to do so.
This course ensures your continued readiness to respond confidently and correctly to fire emergencies, maintaining a high standard of safety on the job.
Prerequisites
All delegates must hold a valid and in-date GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Certificate, or have training records in WINDA for the relevant Modules.
