Description

This refresher course is designed to update and enhance your existing skills for working safely and effectively in a wind turbine environment. Through a mix of theoretical review and hands-on practice, you will ensure your knowledge of the latest best practices remains current.

What You Will Refresh and Master

This module goes beyond a simple review, providing the opportunity to practice and perfect your techniques in realistic scenarios. You will:

  • Work at Height Safely: Sharpen your skills in using basic personal protective equipment (PPE) and applying safe working procedures at height.

  • Perform Rescues: Rehearse and refine your ability to perform a comprehensive, basic rescue from height in a remote wind turbine setting.

  • Handle Materials Correctly: Reinforce positive manual handling and ergonomic techniques, and learn how to plan for and execute manual handling tasks safely.

Upon successful completion, you will be fully re-certified, demonstrating your continued competence in these critical safety areas.

Note: This course is intended to refresh skills. It does not assess or help overcome a fear of heights.

Prerequisites

All delegates must hold a valid and in-date GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Certificate, or have training records in WINDA for the relevant Modules.
