Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat Course
This STCW Fast Rescue Boats (FRB) course runs over 3 days and covers a mix of practical and theory learning. The course is sometimes referred to as the FRC – Fast Rescue Craft – course too.
FRB training builds upon the skills learned during the Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat course taken as a prerequisite to this course. It is essential training required by those whose duty on board a vessel is to crew the Fast Rescue Boat.
The course spans two locations; operating on the first day from our purpose built training facility at South West Maritime Academy, then moving to Portishead Marina near Bristol to run the final two days of practical training on the Bristol Channel. Addresses for both locations can be found in the details box above.
