Prerequisites: All delegates must hold a valid and in-date GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Certificate, or have training records in WINDA for the relevant Modules.
Certification: Upon successful completion of the GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (BSTR) courses, candidates will receive Global Wind Organisation approved certificates valid for two years.

This refresher module builds upon your existing Working at Heights and Manual Handling knowledge and skills, ensuring you’re up-to-date with the latest best practices for the renewables industry. Through a combination of theoretical and practical training, you’ll review and enhance your abilities in:
Upon successful completion of this BSTR Working at Heights with Manual Handling module, you will be able to independently and safely use basic PPE, work at heights, and perform comprehensive basic rescues at height in a remote wind turbine environment. You will also be equipped to take responsibility for safe manual handling practices. (Ability, intermediate level)

This GWO BSTR module is a refresher course designed to build upon and reinforce your existing Working at Heights and Manual Handling skills within the renewables industry. It covers safe work practices at height, rescue procedures, and safe manual handling techniques.
This course is designed for individuals who have previously completed GWO Working at Heights and Manual Handling training and require a refresher to maintain their certification and stay up-to-date with the latest best practices.
You will refresh your knowledge and skills in using PPE for working at height, performing safe work at height, conducting comprehensive basic rescues from height, and applying safe manual handling techniques. The course also emphasises planning for alternatives to manual handling.

GWO Refresher certificates are valid for two years. Renew before they expire, up to two months early to keep your original date. Expired certifications require full retraining on the GWO BST Course.
