Description
This is a great introduction to power boating which emphasises safety aspects in particular launching, which are sometimes missed out on courses where the powerboats are already in the water.

Course Content
- Launch and recovery (8-11 year old's observe)
- Preparation of boat and crew
- Boat handling
- Picking up and securing to a mooring buoy
- Leaving and coming alongside
- Being towed
Prerequisites
A minimum age of 8. Candidates under the age of 16 will be issued with an endorsed certificate stating that they must be accompanied by an adult.
Certification and Assessment
Although this qualification holds no expiry date it is recommended that if you have gone through a prolonged period without driving a boat you attend a skills refresher for both your safety and peace of mind.
