The STCW 2010 Updated Proficiency in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting course is designed to ensure seafarers can competently fight fires at sea. The training covers the use of various firefighting equipment, including portable and wheeled extinguishers, hoses, and nozzles. It also focuses on how to extinguish different types of fires as part of a team and includes practical experience using breathing apparatus (BA) to perform casualty rescues and fight fires in smoke-filled environments.
